Connecting To Your Device

A guide to setting up your WisePad 3 device by pairing it with your smartphone or tablet.

Note that you will need to have completed the setup of your merchant portal and mobile users.

Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone or tablet before beginning the pairing process below.

  1. Start by downloading the MintPay App from the App Store.

  2. Log in to the MintPay App.
  3. Tap the menu icon, and navigate to Reader.
  4. Turn on your reader by pressing the power button (top right button) on the device. The Bluetooth symbol will begin flashing to indicate that it is ready to pair.
    The App will show any device(s) that are in range.
  5. Check that the serial number on the back of the device matches the serial number (S/N) shown in the app. then tap the correct device.
  6. The device will beep twice to indicate a successful connection.

If this is the first time you are connecting the device, a software update will be automatically completed. This may take up to 5 minutes.
